We want to bring God’s kingdom into reality in Yaxley – today and tomorrow.
We invest a huge amount of time and energy in pursuit of our vision. But there are many occasions when we require resources as well. The work we’re doing in the community, the projects we’re running, and the basic costs of running a church. This all adds up – and that means spending money.
The good news is, you can help us on our way to that goal!
- I want to donate now – if you know you would like to begin donating to our work (regularly or one-off), download the form and follow the instructions. If you’re a UK tax-payer, we’d be grateful if you could tick the gift aid box.
- I’m considering donating – if you’re simply curious and would like to know more before making any sort of decision, please read on.
We look at like this.
Being generous. Everything on earth belongs to God and we simply look after what has been given to us. He is generous to us through His love and grace, and because of that, we strive to give back to Him of what we are able. This is all part of our worship and is something we encourage.
Making it a priority. He loved us first and made a sacrifice for us – that means we do not give of what we have leftover – whether that is time, energy or money. We make regular giving a priority, meaning we give to God first and everything else follows.
With prayer and joy. We are responsible for the gifts He has given us, so we must ask God what His desire is for the skills, time or resources we have. When we know what we’re giving and where it’s going, God calls us to give with joy – after all, we’re bringing His kingdom closer by doing it!
So what happens now?
You need to consider what you can give and pray about it.
One way of doing this would be to think about what you can afford, or what lifestyle change you might have to make to be able to afford to donate regularly. Ask yourself what your weekly or monthly commitment might represent in terms of ordinary things you buy regularly, such as new clothes, a meal out, or a weekend away. Some of our members like to tithe 10% of their income.
Next – you’ll need to fill out and return the paperwork.
