Sunday 27th October Talk Available HERE

February 11, 2020 by St. Peter's

Reading: Romans 12

In today’s talk we think about Romans 12, the passage that Sarah chose for her licensing and how that may apply to us individually and collectively. The passage calls us to be renewed, be genuine and live our lives for God’s glory and in service of others. We think about this passage and the letter written to the angel of the church in Yaxley when the church was going in to vacancy. How can we focus on this and those areas for ourselves and for our church and community.

Sunday 17th November

Reading: Romans 8:12-25

Romans 8:15 tells us that we have the privilege and wonder of being adopted into God’s family. We explore how that impacts on us by giving us a new identity and means we call God our Father in prayer. This comes with the responsibility of carrying God’s name, honouring that and allowing God to change us to be more like Him. We unpack how adoption also impacts on the way we relate to others , our church family, those with whom we work and play and the weak and vulnerable in our society.

Do you have questions?

February 6, 2020 by St. Peter's

Dear Friends

This is often a time when New Year’s resolutions are made, perhaps broken and then hopefully reinstated. It is a time when people think back and plan forward and it is a time when we look forward to spring, the shoots are already coming up as I write this and many spring flowers will no doubt be in bloom as you read this.

You might have decided to start a new hobby, to get fit, to give yourself some time for you or to do some study. There might be something that you have always wondered about and have decided to find out more about that subject. There are many people who want to ask questions about different areas, and I know that there are many people who want to know more about Christianity and more importantly about God and who is Jesus.

In this New Year, I would love to invite you into Saint Peter’s Church to a place and space where you can ask questions that you might have about who we are, what we do and why we want to tell you about the God who loves every person including you and why we come to church and how we want to live our lives. We will do this through an Alpha course which will start on the 10th February in Saint Peter’s Church at 7.30pm.

I grew up in a Christian home but I still know how hard it can be to walk in to a church. I get this but I can assure you of a really warm welcome at Saint Peters and some good refreshments. Why not come along and see and hear for yourself. The course runs for 7 sessions – 10th Feb, 17th Feb, 24th Feb, 2nd March, 9th March, 23rd March and 30th March and it would be great if you can come to them all, but if you just want to come for a taster you are really welcome.

If you have any queries, please do contact me or come along and see for yourself. Please bring friends and family with you – everyone is welcome and there are no silly questions.

Hope to see you in February. With every blessing.
