At St. Peter’s, we are enthusiastic about generating and celebrating community.
Celebrating together on a Sunday is great, but there are some things that can be missed. It’s really important that we commit time and energy to build community. Whatever your age or stage in life, we are committed to providing different opportunities for you to be in community with others as we journey in faith.
We encourage everyone to join a small group.
Small groups help people to come together. They offer you the opportunity to learn and pray, to study the Bible, to support and encourage each other, and at the same time, help you move forward in your relationship with God. They act as the building blocks of the church within the community.
To cater for different people and different schedules, groups meet during the week, some in the daytime and some in the evening. Normally up to about 12 people in size, small groups provide a safe environment for regular social and pastoral support.
Exploring life, faith and spirituality.
Encounter is for people who would like an open, informal space to think about life, faith and spirituality. It is a place to share stories and ask questions in a comfortable environment, around people who are curious to go a little deeper into these aspects of life.
We meet every other Friday morning at St. Peter’s. Tea, coffee and cake are served, followed by a short, thought-provoking film or talk. There’s then time to reflect and discuss – as well as plenty of space to get to know the people around you. It’s free to attend and a Crèche is provided for kids.
