We want our children to take part in inspiring and stimulating activities through which they can encounter Jesus for themselves.
Children and families work at St. Peter’s is planned and coordinated. Through all kinds of activities, we aim to encourage children – of all ages – to explore faith, to develop a relationship with Jesus, and to share their beliefs with others.
Sundays
During COVID we have taken the opportunity to reimagine our children’s groups. One of the changes we have made is the age range of groups and the names of the groups.
Trailblazers – for children aged 3 – 6 years
Pioneers – for children aged 7 – 11 years
Youth – for those in secondary school
For all groups, please register your child in the upper room upon arriving at church.
Currently, we are only able to offer Children’s & Youth Ministry at the Holy Communion services on the 2nd & 4th Sundays, due to a reduction in team members.
There is also a creche available for those not old enough to come upstairs. Parents are required to supervise their children in the creche.
We want our children to feel part of the church family and feel able to serve alongside the adults. If your child would like to help with welcome, refreshments, band, readings or anything else, please speak with us.
Midweek
Sparks is our group for under 5’s and their parents/carers. Sparks takes place on the 1st and 3rd Fridays, in church and follows a themed programme for each session with craft, music, story-time, and more! Refreshments are available and the group is free to attend.
Explorers
During school holidays and December, we run our school holiday programme, Explorers. Click here to find out how to get involved.
